I'm a history lover and actually at one point of my life I seriously considered becoming an archeologist (in a very Indiana Jonesy style, of course). I studied Assyriology at the University of Helsinki, but I've been also interested in almost all ancient cultures.
That's why a place like Tolfa was very interesting as it's situated in the middle of Etruria. Tolfa and it's surroundings are full of important Etruscan sights as necropolis and there are also a lot of historical ruins from other periods too. Of course it was impossible for me to write a novel situated in Tolfa without telling something about the Etruscans too.
